Heather Andrighetti is a research genetic counsellor and Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of British Columbia. She is a member of the Translational Psychiatric Genetics Group led by Dr. Jehannine Austin, whose work is about using a clinical genetics perspective to improve outcomes for people with psychiatric disorders and their families. Before being recruited to UBC, she completed her MSc in Genetic Counselling at the University of Toronto, where she won several research awards for her research into the experiences of parents of children with OCD. She is currently co-chair of the Psychiatric Special Interest Group of the National Society of Genetic Counselors.
